Gala Under 16s enjoyed a memorable debut in the Edinburgh and Lothians League at the home of Scottish cricket.
The young side played against Grange on the same pitch as Scotland famously defeated England last year.
And while they suffered a heavy defeat, it was a great experience for the side.
Grange batted first and made 180 for 6 from their 20 overs.
Top bowler was Jamie Bell who took three wickets, while Robbie Paterson claimed two and Liam Skeldon the other.
Gala struggled in reply with Jamie Crooks – who was helping the side out due to a lack of numbers – scoring 31 not out in their total of 50 all out.
