Gala Cricket Club will look the part this season thanks to the continued support of three generous local firms.
Galashiels-based cashmere accessories brand Sinclair Duncan is the Meigle Park club’s main sponsors for the fourth successive season, and along with Keith Irvine Plastering and Channel Salon Hairdressing have helped provide Gala with new training tops.
The trio’s logos will also continue to be worn with pride on the playing shirts and jumpers of Gala’s senior cricketers this season as they compete in East Division One, Division Seven in the Development team, East Sunday League and Border 2020 League.
Gala CC Secretary Kenny Paterson said: “We are indebted to all three companies for their fantastic support of the club in recent years, which continues this season.
“We continue to try to make strides both on and off the pitch, with a ladies come and try day later this month, All Stars Cricket returning on 24 May, our junior sides having more fixtures against Edinburgh and Lothian sides this season and three Scotland female representative games at Meigle Park in July and August.
“The backing of Sinclair Duncan, Keith Irvine Plastering and Channel Salon is a huge boost to our efforts to keep trying to improve and become a more integral part of the local community, and the players are honoured to wear their names again in 2019.”
Sinclair Paterson, Director of Sinclair Duncan, added: “We are delighted to support Gala Cricket Club for the fourth season in a row and wish the club every success for the remainder of the year.”
Gala CC still has sponsorship opportunities this season. Any company or individual who can support the club – with packages starting at just £20 – can find out more or request a sponsorship brochure from Kenny Paterson ([email protected] or phone 07913767871), or the brochure be downloaded from the club’s new website – www.galacricketclub.co.uk.
