Meigle Park round up
Gala had a difficult first weekend of the season, suffering defeats at Penicuik in the league and Edinburgh CC in the Scottish Cup.
This weekend we host Grange 2s at Meigle Park with a 12noon start, and the 2nds are due to play at Carlton 4s on Sunday with a 1pm start.
The club is still looking for any new players who may wish to join the club this season – please contact us via social media or galacricketclub@gmail.com if interested. Training takes place every Monday and Thursday from 6pm at Meigle Park.
Congratulations to Ruaridh
Gala CC player Ruaridh Anderson was named 2026 Braw Lad on Friday evening, following in a long line of Gala CC players and members to be named in the position including Jamie Bell, 2024 Braw Lad. Congratulations Ruaridh!

Volunteering opportunities
We are looking for help across number of aspects of running the club – from helping with social media, to putting up our marquee, driving a minibus to one away game or assisting with teas – if you think you can help please contact galacricketclub@gmail.com.
Race night – 16 May

Juniors
Junior training takes place every Tuesday from 6.30pm to 7.45pm with any new players even if havent played cricket before very welcome. Our membership form is available at http://www.galacricketclub.co.uk/membership-forms.
